"Adi please" I begged as i caressed his cheeks.
"I said no! You wanna go against it and make me sad, then that's your choice!" He said turned his face away from me.
He won't agree to let me fast for him. He said there's no point of it at all. Excersise, good diet and remaining stress free are the key to long life! How can fasting elongate someone's life!
"I want to help you get better soon!" I said and making him look at me, he didn't and averted his gaze.
"Medinces are doing just fine!" He said and turned his face away again.
"And fasting will do even great!" I said softly hoping he would understand.
"It wont! It will be useless and make me look like a shitty husband who let's his wife starve and get acidity!" He said angrily.
"It won't! All wives do it! And I am doing it on my own free will, nobody is forcing me. I am doing it because I want my husband to get better soon." I said back.
"Just because every wife does it, dosent mean you have to too. You being with me, supporting me is so enough. Why starve yourself for my health? It will ruin yours"
"It wont! It's just a day adi! I'll open my fast at night! Please! " I said hoping he would understand.
"No!" He said firmly and looked away crossing his arms.
I huffed and got up from the bed but a hand on my wrists stopped me. My anger slowly melted away. I guess it's his touch.
I turned around and his face was sad and strained. He pulled me and I sat next to him.
"What?" I asked slightly angry.
He rubbed his face and exhaled loudly.
"You can keep the fast but only of I keep it with you!" He said slowly making each word firm and clear.
What! No!
"What! Why would you do that? " I said. He shrugged his shoulders.
"Because I want to!" He said simply.
"No! You have to take your medicines too! You're injured! No I wont let you" I said frustated.
He shrugged his shoulders again. "It's either this or you can make me sad by fasting alone"
"That's emotional blackmail!" I said.
"The only options you have!" He said. He knows that I won't do anything that will make him sad.
"But-"
"Yes or no" he cut me off and looked at me sternly. Ughhhh!!
Now I don't know what to do. I don't want to make him sad but I don't want him to get better late by skipping his medicines.
Ughhh!!
"Okay fine!!" I said and looked at him who was grinning.
"Okay then!" He said and pulled me to his chest smiling. And somehwere I smiled too. God his persuasion powers! Which MBA school did he go to?
Or maybe he's just better at psychology. But somewhere I am very very grateful for him.
That following day I fed him food and his medicines and went to sleep.

Next day
The Alarm beeped and showed 5 o clock.
I have to wake up to eat early. I looked at adi and he was sleeping peacefully! I didn't want to wake him up but I was somwhwere excited to do this with him.
I woke him up gently.
"Adi! Get up! We have to fast remember" I whispered giggling!
He groaned and groggily opened his eyes and got up.
"We can sleep after eating okay!" I said and he just showed me a thumbs up.
We went down where everyone was there. They smiled.
"Bhai what are you doing Down here? Shouldn't you be resting!?" Abhi said.
Adi just yawned and looked at him.
"He's fasting with me" I said and everybody's eyes widenened.
What?
"What?" I asked.
Then suddenly, abhi and ayush laughed and mom glared at them and they shut up quickly. Mom was smiling and so was dad!
Wait what is he doing here? What are all the men doing there? Are they all fasting too?
"I'm not alone after all" dad said smiling. Oh wait! He's fasting with mom too! Oh wow!.
"And what are the rest of you doing here this early?" I aksed all the morons sitting on the chairs. They all had hair messed up but were still sitting here.
"We're here so that you don't feel lonely eating alone. The tables never empty" vidhi said yawning.
I smiled as everyone yawned and ate and went back to sleep.
Nighttime
I looked at him moon and then at adi and broke my fast. On my side mom did the same.
I bent at his feet he stopped me.
"No! You're my equal!" He said pulling me close.
"But it's the Ritual adi!" I said looking at him and so was everyone now!
"Only if I get to touch yours too!" He said softly and caressed my cheeks.
What did I ever do to deserve this man! The most shiniest and rarest gem in the whole world.
I closed my eyes and leaned into his touch.
We then soon went down.
"Oh and you look damn beautiful tonight! Seeing you like this makes me wanna marry you again!" He said.
It's not a bad idea! I considered it and looked at him.
"Then what's stopping you" I said and kissed his cheek. He looked at me and smiled. And that said everything.
He held my hand. "Uh you all go were coming!" He said and took me down and into the car!
We're getting married again! Starting afresh!
We reached a nearby temple and walked in hand in hand.
There was no one at this time and the pandit was sitting there chanting mantras.
He opened his eyes and smiled at us.
"We wanna get married again!" Adi said and strong feeling of love and purity and warmth filled my heart. If only I could join our hearts! And they beat togther and nothing could separate us.
The pandit smiled and began the rituals as we took a seat on the floor.
And we got married once again, in front of God with his blessing of always protecting us and sending happiness our way.
We offered milk and water on the shivling and I immediately knew things had changed for the better now!

Next day
"I see what you're doing" abhi said and threw the dice on the board.
"Yes!" He exclaimed on seeing three on the face. He moved three steps and pushed vidhis pawn making her jaw hang open. They were playing ludo and these four were taking it so seriously like they were gonna get money out of it.
"How dare you?" She said her face red. He smirked and wiggled his eyebrows.
She huffed and threw the dice moving her second pawn behind abhi in an attempt to cut him.
"Don't you dare" he warned glaring at her.
"Watch me!" She challenged, showing her tongue. Yea! Real mature!
Shreya went next who was a little behind vidhi! She got a six and then a five and laughed loudly rubbing her hands together. She moved quickly and was now behind vidhi.
Vidhi narrowed her eyes at her. "Don't do what I think you're gonna do" she said pointing her finger at her face.
Shreya shrugged innocently. "What did I do?"
"We'll see" she said and pointed two fingers at her eyes and then at Shreyas as a sign that's she's watching her.
She rolled her eyes at vidhis antics while it was ayushs turn to throw the dice. He threw the dice and got six, and again and then a five.
"Whoo!" He said and rubbed his hands togther making his move
He moved and then at the last five his pawn cut abhis and both ayushs and abhis mouth hung open. Abhi was very close to reaching his home.
"Oops!" Ayush muttered and looked at abhi. Abhi looked at him and gritted his teeth.
"I didn't mean to!" Ayush muttered meekly.
Abhi snatched the dice. "We'll see" he muttered with his face red and threw it.
"Huh" vidhi said smugly. "Tit for tat" she said threw her over her shoulder.
Abhi snatched the dice and made his play. He moved his second dice very carefully ahead of everyone.
Everyone was sitting in the living room enjoying the small drama take place since morning!
Adis hand held me and whispered in my ear "lets go to our room"
I looked at him and nodded. We excused ourselves.
He held my hand and led me up the stairs. As we reached the door, he held his hands on my eyes making me smile and led me in the room.
He removed his hand slowly and I was in awe. I looked at him and then back at the rose theme he made for me.
Rosey bed, rosey candles, rosey floor and the whole room smelled like rose. The fragrance was strong. My eyes fell on the table and I walked to it.
There was a box and an album on the table. As I was about to touch it, a hand tapped my shoulders.
I turned around and gasped finding adi on his knees holding out a ring. My eyes watered and I hugged him tightly.
"I've never been so grateful for anything in my life until now. I never thought my life could take a huge turn as soon as you came. I never knew I would become someone whom I never thought. I never thought that my heart would get out of control as soon as you came and I never thought I could be this happy since you came!. All because of you naina! All because you made that decision of letting your pure soul enter into this poor man and make it like yours. I don't know what to do so that I could tell you that you were the best thing that's ever happened to me. The reason my life has meaning. I don't want anything except you naina! Nothing! Just you"
His eyes turned glassy as his voice broke and huge smile covering his lips. He blinked and the tears fell down his cheeks. I lunged at him and kissed him tightly with the only aim of binding him to me. I don't care if our lungs Burst, all I want is him, all I need his is him.
We backed away and I smiled and kissed his tears, making them mine and all of him. He made me wear the ring on top of my engagement one and it looked like I was his.
He took the album from the table and we both saw it together. Flipping pages of our life when god decided to give another couple their happiness.
Pics of me and adi, unseparable and pure made my heart beat louder. We reached the end of the album, complimenting each other's smiles when there were still a few leaflets left but they were empty.
I looked at him confused and he smiled at him. God I love that smile.
"I wanna start a family with you!" He said slowly and I stilled.
